Dynamo Kiev vs Chelsea Competition – Europa League Stadium – Kiev Olympic Stadium Date: 14th March 2019 Kick-off time – 17:55 GMT
Chelsea will be looking to continue their march towards a first trophy under Maurizio Sarri when they take on Dybamo Kiev in this Europa League round of 16 match. The Blues won the first leg 3-0 last week and only played one game since that time and that was against Wolves. Despite playing in front of their home fans, they were behind the visitors for much of the game and needed a moment of magic from Eden Hazard in the 90th minute to rescue a point for themselves. They come into this game with hopes of winning this competition as it would be their best route into the Champions League next season as they have a tough battle finishing inside the top four with their inconsistent away form. Dynamo Keiv will be looking to do the impossible of overturning their 3-0 loss in the first leg of this game. The Ukrainians are not doing particularly bad domestically at the moment as they trail arch-rivals Shakhtar Donetsk by 7 points however this game will require all the efforts they can gather. Kiev have won 4 of their last 5 games in all competitions and their only defeat came at the hands of Chelsea last week. They have also won their last 3 home games in all competitions so they should be pretty confident ahead of this game. Bookmakers have priced Chelsea up as favourites to come out on top in this second leg and progress to the last 8 of the Europa League. Dynamo Kiev have a good home record so bookmakers are respecting their abilities at home. Goal markets point to a low-scoring game as under 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Gonzalo Higuain and Eden Hazard are vying for favourtism in the first goalscorer market. This match gets underway at 17:55 BST and can be watched live on BT Sport.
