Real Sociedad vs Real Betis Preview

These sides have already met three times this season and meet again here as they look to keep their hopes of European football in tact especially for the home side.

Sociedad have been hot and cold for much of the season and they were lucky to escape with a point against Valladolid at the weekend.

They have been struggling with injuries recently and that has affected their form.

Sociedad need a win here to get themselves back in the mix for a European place, but with just 3 points separating them from their visitors this could be a tougher game than on paper for them.

Betis are also looking to end the season in a European place.  They were tasked with playing so many matches this season and that has affected their performances to the point where they have failed to show up on a number of occasions.

Their last game against Rayo Vallecano ended in a fortunate draw for them and their manager admitted it after the game.

Both teams come here near full strength as William Jose returns for Sociedad while Betis have been adopting many different formations throughout the season and have many players to call on depending on the formation they choose.

Betis will be looking to keep scoring goals as they have done so often recently, but they have equally struggled to keep clean sheets so we could see goals at both ends.

Bookmakers have priced Real Sociedad up as slight favourites to come out on top while Real Betis will start the game as outsiders.

Goal markets point to a tight game as under 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while da Silva Willian Jose is clear favourite to open the scoring.
