Crystal Palace vs Manchester City Preview

Manchester City will be hoping to be top of the Premier League table when the weekend ends and that requires them winning this game and hoping that Liverpool drop points against Chelsea.

The Cityzens should however, know the kind of task in front of them as Palace is one of the only teams who have beaten them this season.

The Eagles secured a stunning comeback 3-2 win against the defending champions in the reverse fixture.

Palace however, have one of the worst home forms in the division this season.  Their form at home is only better than that of Fulham and Huddersfield this season and they will need to correct that to get even a point in this game.

Palace are outside the top ten at present and they would be looking to end the season on a high even though they have no relegation fight to worry about.

Tottenham showed last week that Manchester City can be stopped as the Lilywhites defended well and eventually scored to beat them 1-0 in the first lef of their Champions League tie.

The defending champions usually recover quickly from these losses and fans should expect them to take vengeance over Palace in this game.

Pep Guardiola may be forced to rest some of his stars as they look to overturn their loss in the Champions League later in the week however they have such a high-quality squad that we can expect a star-filled lineup.

Bookmakers have priced Man City up as extremely strong odds-on favourites to come out on top while Palace will start the game as huge outsiders which may attract some punters.

Goal markets point to a high-scoring game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while as usual, Sergio Aguero is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
