Manchester vs Watford Competition – FA Cup Final Stadium – Wembley Date: 18th May 2019 Kick-off time – 17:00 GMT
Manchester City will be looking to do what Sir Alex Ferguson reckons is ‘impossible’ by completing the domestic treble when they take on Watford in this FA Cup final, while the Hornets will be looking to qualify for the Europa League by winning this FA Cup. Manchester City won the Premier League in one of the most thrilling title races in recent history when they beat Brighton 4-1 on the final Matchday. They Cityzens were followed by Liverpool for much of the season and only won the title by one point. City also struggled in the Carabao Cup final when Chelsea took them all the way to the penalties before they won the competition. It is safe to say that no one has handed them any of the trophies they have won this season and we expect them to fight for this one as well. Watford have had a good season under Javi Garcia and winning the FA Cup here would only be a fitting end to a good season for the Spaniard and his team. They ended the season in a poor run of form after losing their last 3 games, failing to win any of their last four matches, however, the Hornets have been impressive in this competition and their come-from-behind win over Wolves in the semifinal shows that they are capable of anything. With most of his players back to full fitness, Guardiola should select his very best team for this game in a bid to complete their domestic treble here. Bookmakers have priced Man City up as extremely strong favourites to come out on top while Watford will start the game as huge underdogs. Goal markets point to a lively game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading long odds-on while Sergio Aguero is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
