Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Manchester United Preview

Manchester United face this tricky trip to the Midlands as they look to build on their impressive 4-0 win over Chelsea on matchday one.

The Red Devils have invested in a centre back and a wingback this season and they seem to have solved one of the biggest problems in recent seasons.

Wolves remain one of the teams that can finally gatecrash the top six in England.  They ended last season 7th in the league table and are currently on the verge of reaching the Europa League group stage.

Wolves have always provided solid opposition for United.  Both teams have scored in 7 of the last 8 games between these sides while The Wanderers welcome United in fine form as they have conceded just one goal in the 5 competitive games they have played already this season.

United got a rude awakening when they played Wolves last season and the Molineux outfit will be looking give United an early-season shocker here as well.

United may have been flattered by their 4-0 win over Chelsea, but in truth, the game was much closer than the result suggests and they will need to be fully focused when they take to the field here.

This game could go either way but it looks like Wolves can use this opportunity to boost their confidence ahead of their game against Torino on Thursday.

Bookmakers have priced Manchester United up as slight favourites to come out on top in this game however the odds are close and Wolves are in with a real shout of causing an upset.

Goal markets point to a low-scoring game as under 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Marcus Rashford is favourite to score the opening goal of the game closely followed by Patrick Crutone and Raul Jimenez.
