Sevilla FC vs Celta Vigo Preview

Sevilla FC vs Celta Vigo

Competition – Spanish Primera

Stadium – Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan

Date: 30th August 2019

Kick-off time – 19:00 GMT

Sevilla have raised the stakes on themselves following back to back wins in their last two away games and they come here looking for their third straight win.

Julen Lopetegui has got them playing some of their best football and their fans should be optimistic that another win is on the cards here. Generally, this fixture has favoured Sevilla in recent times as they have won their last three home games against Celta.

Each of those games ended in a closely-fought 2-1 scoreline and the visitors will be looking to make this game especially tough for them.

Celta Vigo recovered from a 3-1 home loss in their first league game of the season against Real Madrid to record a surprising 1-0 win over Valencia last weekend.

That win was needed to kick start their season after they almost got relegated from the Spanish top-flight last season.

Celta still has the ever-reliable Iago Aspas and their new signing Gabriel Fernandez who netted a sublime winner in their last game looks the real deal.

Celta should be up for the challenge here and we expect them to give Sevilla a tough game.

Bookmakers have priced Sevilla up as strong odds-on favourites to come out on top in this game while Celta Vigo are priced up as outsiders.

Goal markets point to a lively affair as over 2.5 goals is trading odds-on prior to kick-off while Luuk de Jong and Moanes Dabour are both vying for favourtism in the first goalscorer market.

This game gets underway at 19:00 BST.
