Sweden vs Spain
Competition – Euro 2020 Qualifying
Stadium – Friends Arena
Date: 15th October 2019
Kick-off time – 19:45 GMT
Sweden host Spain looking to cement their place as the second-placed team in this group and enjoy an automatic qualification spot.
The Swedes have tried their bests to lead the rest of the pack, but they need a result in this game to stay in the hunt. They have beaten the Faroe Islands and Malta before securing back-to-back draws against a strong Norwegian side to remain in a strong position. A win over Romania and a win here could be a difficult task but with their home crowd behind them, they should press forward and go for the win.
Spain have been in fine form in these qualifiers so far as they look to rebuild their side following a poor World Cup.
They won all six of their opening six games before visiting Norway in Oslo in the last qualifying game. They drew that game but remain 5 points clear of the rest of the teams in this group.
La Roja come here looking to win against the Swedes home and away but it may be a difficult task.
Spain give very chances away per game so Sweden may struggle to create chances and betting markets suggest this as under 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on prior to kick-off.
