Liverpool will look to keep their 13 points gap at the top of the league table with a game in hand when they host Sheffield United at Anfield in their first game of the new decade.
Sheffield United will look to return to form on the road when they face Liverpool in this game.
The visitors have lost just one of their away league games this season and they would count themselves unfortunate to have lost to Manchester City last time out.
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 35 league games. The Reds have won all but one of their league games this season and it seems only a matter of when and not if Liverpool will be crowned Champions of England again.
Their attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah are leading the club’s charge towards their first league title while their defence is well-marshalled by Virgil Van Dijk.
Sheffield United should feel confident because of their record on the road, but Liverpool have more than enough to win over any team so it’s difficult to see how Sheffield United can get anything from this game on paper.
