Valencia will host Barcelona in this game still looking for their first home win over the defending champions since the 2006/2007 La Liga season.
They have however, managed to get seven draws from their last twelve meetings with the Catalans and they have scored on each of the last four occasions that they have hosted their visitors here.
Valencia tends to start their league games well early on as they have scored three of their eight opening goals at home in the league this season before the 30th-minute mark. Los Che also tends to play clean as they have an average of under 2.0 cards per game so far this season.
Barcelona come here with an unwanted record of conceding the opening goal within the first 30 minutes in three of their last four away league games.
However, the Blaugranas have mastered the act of turning things around in the second half and they come here as the best team in the league based on second-half performances. They have won six of their second-half away games this season.
Kevin Gameiro has scored six goals against Barcelona including two in his last two starts against them. He hasn’t scored more against any other opponent.
Both of these teams have scored in the last nine head-to-head meetings so on paper this should be a lively game with plenty of action.
