Real Madrid is one of the teams who fought against the Spanish La Liga being cancelled as they feel that they can win this season’s competition.
The Madridistas are two points behind Barcelona and when football returns, they plan on making a late charge towards the top of the Spanish league table.
Zinedine Zidane’s side welcome an Eibar side that has just one win from their last five competitive games and the hosts will be looking to get off to a winning start here.
Madrid were also in an inconsistent run of form before the Spanish league season was suspended because of the coronavirus.
The Merengues won just one of their last five games before the break, three of which were losses for them.
They now want a good start to the end of this campaign hoping that they can beat Barcelona to the league title.
Eibar has four losses from their last five games and they haven’t won any of their last four away games.
Madrid has also struggled at home with just two wins from their last five home games, two of which ended in losses for them.
With no fans and players returning and differing fitness levels, Eiber may be meeting Real Madrid at an ideal time to cause an upset however going into the game, Real Madrid are extremely strong odds-on favourites with bookmakers suggesting this will be an uphill task for the Northerners.
