Valencia vs PSG Match Preview – Champions League

P.S.G travel to the Mestalla on Tuesday to take on Valencia in their first leg match in the last 16 of the Champions League.  P.S.G have won their last 5 matches in all competitions while Valencia are unbeaten in 4 having held Barcelona and Real Madrid to score draws.

David Beckham is expected to travel to Valencia to watch his P.S.G side play however he will take no part in the action.

The last time these two sides met was in 2007, P.S.G won 3:0 however this is more of a historical fact because both teams have changed and improved drastically since then.

Current betting odds – Valencia (7/5) Draw (23/10) P.S.G (23/10)

Gamingtips Prediction – Valencia 0:0 P.S.G

This match has all the makings of a low scoring, cup game.  Valencia have a very good defensive record in the Spanish Primera Liga while P.S.G concede less than 1 goal per game on average in France Ligue 1 and hold the best defensive record domestically by some distance.  Away goals are very important in the Champions League and Valencia need to balance defense and attack as they will want to be leading going into the second leg.  The bookmakers have priced this match up reasonably; 0:0, 1:0, 0:1 look like the most likely outcomes on paper and each one offers reasonable odds.

The winning team will face either Porto or Malaga in the Quarter Finals.

This match can be watched live on Sky Sports.

This article will be updated as and when team news becomes available.
