Black Caviar is set to run her first race since winning the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot last summer in a race where the mare is strong favourite to defeat 7 other rivals. The official race card is below:
Black Caviar is currently odds of 1.10 (1/10) with . That means for a $100 stake, you would win $10 ($110 total). This field looks inferior to the one she faced at Royal Ascot and although odds of 1.10 are impossible to take seriously, this should be a comfortable success for the mare over the 1000m distance (5 furlongs).
Luke Nolen maintains the ride and it will be interesting to see how he rides Black Caviar after a very narrow success in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes after what seemed to be a very “casual” ride from Nolen given the hype and expectation surrounding that race.
The race gets underway at 05:30 GMT+0 (16:30 local time).
Updates will be posted closer to race time.
