Real Madrid vs Malaga Match Preview: Spanish Primera Liga

Malaga travel to the Santiago Bernabeu this evening in search of a result that will almost guarantee their place in the Europa League next season. Real Madrid are currently second and although mathematically not out of Spanish Primera title, they are 11 points behind Barcelona and 8 points clear of third placed side Atletico Madrid. Malaga are sixth, a win will move them to fifth and to within two points off the only Champions League Qualification spot in the Spanish Primera.

Recent form:

Real Madrid – W W W L W W L

Malaga – L W L W L L D

Real Madrid have won five of their last seven while Malaga have won just two.

If history is anything to go by then Malaga have no chance of winning this game (Real Madrid won 18, Malaga won 1, 8 Draws).

Bookmakers are expecting a very comfortable Real Madrid win this evening.

Current betting odds: Real Madrid (1/5) Draw (11/2) Malaga (11/1)

Gamingtips Prediction – Real Madrid 2:1 Malaga

Both sides have very good defensive records – Real Madrid have conceded 34 goals in 34 games while Malaga have conceded 39 goals in 34 games (second vs fourth best defensive records).  The main difference is in the number of goals both sides score – Real Madrid have scored 89 goals in 34 matches vs Malaga who have scored 47 in 34 matches.  Malaga do have more to play for than Real Madrid but it will be a very difficult task given their current form, their history of one win in just 25 meetings and the fact that Real Madrid have scored almost twice as many goals this season.  The best betting opportunity could be under 3.5 goals at odds of 10/11.

This match gets underway at 20:30 GMT+0
