Current betting odds: Uruguay U20 (4/1) Draw (14/5) Spain U20 (4/6)

Gamingtips Prediction – Uruguay U20 0:2 Spain U20

Spain have looked like and have been tournament favourites with bookmakers from the start of the tournament and although they struggled against Mexico, they still looked very assured and confident in possession almost as if they knew they had plenty of time to come back.

Uruguay have been very solid defensively throughout this tournament (conceded two goals in four games) and if they are able to absorb Spanish pressure and counterattack, they may be able to pull off a huge upset.

Spain were trading at odds of 5/4 during the group stages to win the tournament outright and so punters will be smashing into odds of 4/6 to win this game with the knowledge that they may face France in the semi-finals and their odds for that game will be much less sure than this one.

An alternative value bet of under 2.5 goals at odds of 21/20 seems reasonable given Uruguay’s excellent defensive record and Spain’s love of keeping the ball for long periods without doing much.

Uruguay will be hoping that Nicolas Lopez can continue his excellent goal scoring record (scored 4 goals so far) while Spain will be looking to Barcelona star player Gerard Deulofeu (scored 2) and Jese Rodriguez (scored 4) to carry them through to the semi-finals.

This game gets underway at 19:00 CET and can be viewed live on Eurosport.  International listings will vary.

  1. jese has 5 goals and one assist not 4, so they would look to jese rather than deulofeu who scored 2 and one assist and has been substituted off every game coz he played horrible.

Deulofeu has looked outstanding but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
