Champions League Match Day 2 Preview & Fixtures

Matchday 2 of the Champions League continues this week with some very tasty fixtures taking place.

Tuesday’s highlight must be Arsenal vs Napoli as both sides are undefeated so far this season, although it could be said that Napoli have had the trickier fixtures to contend with.

They’ve tallied 4 wins from 5 so far; inclusive of wins against two European heavyweights Dortmund and Milan.

Arsenal are also looking in great form however so it will be very interesting to see who will come out on top when Benitez makes his return trip to London for the first time since taking charge of the Italian outfit earlier in the summer.

Former Arsenal target Higuain is 3/1 to outscore the in-form Giroud with ; which is a very enticing price.

Fellow ‘Group of Death’ members Dortmund and Marseille will also battle it out as both sides search for their first Champions League win of 2013/14 after securing impressive wins at the weekend.

Elsewhere, Ajax host Milan and Celtic will welcome back the mighty but Messi-less Barcelona. Celtic fans and players alike will be dreaming of a repeat victory from last November when they caused a huge upset to beat the Spanish Champions 2-1. Celtic are 8/1 to beat Barcelona and 4/1 to earn a draw; so Celtic dreams are well and truly met with some amazing odds at .

Wednesday night will also consist of some amazing fixtures and the pick of the night will be Man City v current Bundesliga and Champions League holders Bayern Munich.

City have recorded some impressive victories in recent weeks but suffered a shock defeat away to Aston Villa on Saturday.

Pellegrini will need to turn things around very quickly if they plan to challenge undefeated Bayern Munich whom have won their last 6 back-to-back fixtures.

Juventus, Real Madrid, PSG and Galatasaray all compete in other fixtures so there’s a huge amount to look forward to over the next few days.
