The Cheltenham festival continues this Wednesday after an opening day that saw Jezki win the Champion Hurdle Challenge Trophy and Quevega make history by winning a record 6 times in the Mares hurdle.
Our betting tips for Wednesday are below:
13:30 – Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle – Faugheen is unbeaten in 3 starts over jumps and has looked mightily impressive winning every race in a canter and although this is a step-up in class, he should be good enough to feature.
14:05 – RSA Chase – Le Bec has been running well off late and in a very competitive race, could feature at an each-way price.
14:40 – Coral Cup – in a race where bookmakers go 10/1 the field, we fancy Sametegal as a lively outsider – finished 17 lengths behind Our Connor at last years festival and could be worth a look each-way
15:20 – BetVictor Queen Mother Champion Chase – Somersby is our best value each-way bet of the day, a strong travelling animal, unseated rider last time out against favourite for this race Sire De Grugy when second favourite and is now a massive 16/1 to win this race.
16:00 – Glenfarclas Handicap Chase – Quiscover Fontaine finished close behind favourtie for this race, Big Shu recently and offers value from an each-way perspective.
16:40 – Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle – Orgilgo Bay, a very impressive animal on the flat, hasn’t been in form of late over jumps but could potentially be on a very nice mark and could surprise.
17:15 – Weatherbys Champion Bumper – Definitly Red each-way – comes into this race after two impressive bumper wins and could feature at long odds.
