Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton Preview

Tottenham earned a predictable victory over Wimbledon in the FA Cup last time out.

Harry Kane scored a double as they earned a 3-0 win, extending their run of games without a loss to five.

The Lilywhites have dropped too many points this season and they are currently three points off the fourth position in the Premier League table.

With Champions League commitment resuming next month, they will do well to win their next couple of games.

Their drop from the table was mainly inflicted by a poor run of form from November but they have recovered to win five of their last seven games as they look to take advantage of Everton’s recent poor run of form.

Sam Allardyce has done a great job with the Toffees since taking over.

He took charge while they were in the relegation scrap but he has helped them climb up the table and they come into this game 9^th in the league table although they are still 12 points behind Arsenal who are 6^th.

That resurgence seems to have ended as they have failed to win any of their last five games in all competition and come into this game on a run of three straight losses.

They have won only once away from home all season and their poor defending has been a major problem.

However, the signing of Cenk Tosun should give them an extra edge in attack if he makes his debut here.

Everton have lost four and drawn three of their last seven meetings with Spurs.
