Uruguay vs Saudi Arabia Preview

Uruguay vs Saudi Arabia

Competition – FIFA World Cup

Stadium – Rostov Arena

Date: 20th June 2018

Kick-off time – 16:00 GMT

Uruguay came into this World Cup as one of the favourites because of the quality of their squad, however, their first game was not the most ideal way to go about winning a World Cup even though they eventually won the game.

Luis Suarez was very disappointing in front of goal as he was thwarted by the Egyptian goalkeeper and threw away other clear-cut chances.

Jose Jimenez eventually helped the South Americans to the win with a 90th minute header and they may likely find Saudi Arabia much easier to beat.

The Saudi’s are having a hard time winning games despite coming into this World Cup with 11 players from the same club side.

They were rolled over by Russia 5-0 in their opening game.

It wasn’t that the Russians were very good in that game, rather the result showed just how poor and uncompetitive this Saudi Arabian team is.

The Asians have lost their last four games and they have also failed to win any of their last eleven games at the World Cup, losing nine of those matches.

On paper they don’t have the attack that can trouble a defence that is led by Jose Jimenez and Diego Godin.

Uruguay are trading at extremely short odds to come out on top in this game.
