Watford vs Arsenal Preview

Arsenal will continue their bid to finish inside the Premier League top four when they take on Watford in this game.

The Gunners are currently 5^th in the league table having played a game less than Chelsea.

They lost their last Premier League game against Everton but they didn’t play badly in that game.

They followed that defeat up with an impressive 2-0 win over Napoli in the Europa League and they would be looking to build on that when they visit the Hornets here.

Watford have been one of the more impressive sides in the Premier League for some seasons now, but their win over Wolves in the FA Cup semifinal last time out has placed them in a good position to win a trophy.

They come here 10^th in the league table.  While they will be targeting winning the FA Cup to enter the Europa League, they would also want to finish 7^th in the league table and a win here could take them there depending on other results.

The Gunners haven’t won any of their last four away games in all competitions while Watford have won their last four home games on the trot and they haven’t lost any of their last six games at home.

Bookmakers have tentatively priced Arsenal up as odds-against favourites to come out on top in this game while Watford will start the game as outsiders however there isn’t much in it.

Goal markets expect a high-scoring game as over 2.5 goals is trading strongly odds-on while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is favourite to score the opening goal of the game followed by Alexandre Lacazette, Andre Gray and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
