Barcelona vs Manchester United

Competition – UEFA Champions League

Stadium – Estadio Camp Nou

Date: 16th April 2019

Kick-off time – 20:00 GMT

Manchester United will be looking to mastermind yet another great escape when they visit Barcelona for the return leg of this game.

The Red Devils lost the first leg of the Round of 16 game 2-0 to PSG at Old Trafford and went on to beat the French champions 3-1 away to secure passage into this quarterfinals.

They were beaten 1-0 by Barcelona in the first leg of this game again and now need to mastermind another great escape.

The Red Devils haven’t particularly been on form as they have won just three of their last seven games in all competitions and needed two penalties to beat West Ham 2-1 at the weekend.

Barcelona are on course to win yet another Spanish league title as they have opened up a nine points gap over Atletico Madrid with 6 games left to play.

The Catalans are now keen on adding the Champions League which they last won in 2015 to their trophy cabinet.

Barca rested most of their star men in their last league game and they were unable to beat struggling Huesca, but resting those players was necessary as they look to beat Manchester United yet again and reach the semifinals of the Champions League.

Having secured a first leg advantage, fans expect the Spanish champions to complete the job with yet another win in this game.

Bookmakers have priced Barcelona up as extremely strong favourites to come out on top in this second leg and progress to the last 4 of the UEFA Champions League.

Manchester United may have support after their performance in Paris however the odds are suggesting otherwise at present.

Goal markets point to a high-scoring game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Lionel Messi is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
