AC Milan vs Internazionale Preview

Milan will be playing host to their city rivals Inter in this game as the Milan derby comes in early this time around.  There has been a major power shift between the two sides for the past couple of seasons with Milan struggling and failing to qualify for Europe, while Inter has secured back to back Champions League qualifications so far.

This is arguably the biggest game in Europe this weekend with everything at stake as both sides have made good starts to their season.  Milan are currently 7th in the league table after winning two and losing one of their opening 3 games.

They decided to exempt themselves from European competitions this season and focus on getting back to the Championship and for them to achieve that lofty aim they have to win games like this.

Inter Milan have started their season well under Antonio Conte as they come here top of the Serie A table.

However, they struggled in the Champions League in midweek and were lucky to earn a 1-1 draw in front of their fans.  That result doesn’t exactly inspire confidence and Milan would feel they have rested more players and can hurt their Rivals’ title ambitions.

Inter has won two of the last three games between these sides.  Milan’s three games this season have all ended in a 1-0 scoreline and another low-scoring game might be on the cards here.
