Chelsea vs Liverpool Preview

Liverpool travel to London to face Chelsea in what should be their biggest game of the new season so far.  The Reds have won 5 out of 5 league games so far, but Jurgen Klopp’s men know that tougher tests lie ahead of them.

Both of these sides come into this game following disappointing losses in Europe in midweek.

Liverpool were beaten 2-0 by Napoli as they open their Champions League defence, while Chelsea lost 1-0 at home to Valencia on their return to the Champions League.

The Reds come here looking to maintain their 100 percent record and they will be welcoming back Naby Keita from injury even if the Guinean does not start.

The Blues have enjoyed some success since the return of Fikayo Tomori that has allowed them play 3 at the back.  Frank Lampard will also be welcoming back Ngolo Kante for this game.

Both teams have struggled to keep clean sheets recently.  Liverpool have kept a single clean sheet this season while the Blues haven’t kept a clean sheet so far and their fans won’t be expecting much against this Liverpool side that has some of the league’s best scorers.

Both sides have won two each of the last 5 games between them.  All but one of those games has ended in under 2.5 goals scored.
