Treyarch, the developer of Call of Duty: Black Ops released a new patch whIch Is expected to fIx most of the problems and glItches that PS3 gamers have been experIencIng sInce the release date of thIs most popular shooter game.
The Patch 1.05 Is saId to fIx majorIty of the problems, however, PS3 gamers are stIll not satIsfIed wIth what the developer fIxed. Others complaIn that only the mInor problems have been addressed and not the most pressIng ones. AsIde from that, there are new glItches dIscovered whIle playIng the game. In short, the patch could have ruIned the game rather than fIxIng It.
Just hours after It was released, hundreds of comments and complaInts were posted In the offIcIal forum board of Black Ops regardIng how useless the patch was.
Others also say that It Is even worse than the prevIous patch (1.04) beIng released whereIn It also caused problems wIth connectIons and that there were occasIonal game-freezes.
MeanwhIle, Call of Duty: Black Ops Patch 1.05 Is now lIve and mIllIons of PS3 gamers have tested It already. As much as those gamers want to play the game smoothly, they can not because of the problems.
Now, the questIon Is, when wIll be the tIme that Treyarch wIll defInItely release patch to fIx the real problems encountered by PS3 players?
Everybody Is waItIng for that day because the release beIng made earlIer Is never the answer that these gamers have been waItIng for sInce the day they purchase CoD: Black Ops.

This game is virtually unplayable. Around 7 out of 10 games disconnect. It is ridiculous!
with patch 1.04 there was maybe a 5% chance of a good game. now there is maybe a 15% chance. still garb
You want to make up for this mess, Treyarch? Give the PS3 map packs to us free. F-R-E-E, free! We deserve it.
Grow up, it’s your setup and not treyarchs fault, as of patch 1.05 I’ve had no issues at all and the online is fantastic on PS3, YOUR FAULT, FIX IT NOT TREYARCH; YOU.
I was considering getting this game for PS3, now I’m glad I got it for Xbox because there are virtually none of the issues PS3 users complain about.
still a peice of junk!!! 10 out 11 games lost connection minutes into it.
I agree with that disconnecting crap. I’m tired of being put into a room and thrown out minutes later.
the 1.05 patch its stupid how you can change the contents of sam turret or any other air drop, accept care package which is stupid they need to have that in the game why would you not be able to change an air drop with hardline pro… thats just stupid and one of the main reasons i play mw2 and not black ops, black ops is almost as bad as cod world at war, i play cod 4 over black ops.. anyday.
yeah i agree with greg, mw2 is way better then black ops they need to change or make a new game to wow players.
1.05 has been worse for me than 1.04.
Played now and managed only 2 games in over an hour and PS3 froze twice so had to switch off console which I think is a disgrace.
I really hope there is no damage being done to the console each time it freezes.
They should definitely give away the map pack free even though that is pointless if we can’t enjoy playing it.
hey i dont get it?? my black ops works fine has been fro last 2 weeks no problems what so eva!! id love to know why so many peeps arnt working? what setting are you all working on?
Patch 1.05 has made no difference to me,its still unplayable. As for the poster above that said its peoples set up. I say to you garbage !! My set up is a hard wired router, 50mb unlimited fibre optic broadband. Nat type is set to open, and the PS3 is in the DMZ of my router. With this set up I have no problems with any other online games. Black Ops is by far the worst gaming experience I’ve ever had, and will be the last Treyarch game I ever buy.

I havent had many problems besides occasional disconnections in multiplayer or freezes, mainly ive had trouble with playing Nazi zombies, especially “five” 2/3rds of the time I attempt to play or enter a lobby on it, it freezes and I have to reset my ps3 and if I get around that half thhe time it 1/3rd of the time it freezes in game. I think we should be compensated maybe not freely but at least with acess to new content.
Refund + New Hard Disk !
My PS3 slim has been able to cope with the bad code and is about 80% crash free.
However my older ‘fat’ ps3 has given up trying to load Black ops. When I first got black ops it crashed so often it ended up corrupting my Hard Disk.
After a fitting a new drive it worked 60% of the time but since 1.5 patch has refused to load the game. All other games I own work 100%.
So now I only play Bl;ack Ops on the slim, thinking about claiming for my Hard disk though. Maybe that will get the to fix the code sooner?
There’s nothing wrong with connection, People who have bad connection problems need to be hard-wired/have a better router, or get a better inet service.
I play Blk Ops from work and we have a T3 and I still have drop problems and poor performance when I am hosting. When hosting I can empty an entire clip into people and they turn around shot two times and I’m dead.
Sniper rifles are still not correctly powered (same problem in MW2). You should not have to shoot someone more than once with a PSG. Worst case you drop them on the first round and finish them off with the second.
M60 has the same power problems. The Submachine guns and the pistols are a joke. When you can shoot someone with one of these weapons from a distance and kill them….really..come on.
I do still play because its addicting and the fun times usually outway the bad.
fix nat type number 2 fix bloody loading screen freezes number 3 fix damn partys sick of group dropping out
The M60 should be one shot one kill and an air drop.
I’m sick and tired of idiots who say “it’s YOUR connection”. Tons of people don’t complain about the same exact issue because they have crappy Internet connections. Every other multiplayer game I play runs smoothly. The multiplayer on CODBO is just horrific. MW2 you might wait up to a minute but you’re guaranteed to get into the game 9 out of 10 times. Black Ops, Ive actually gone into the kitchen and cooked and went back and checked literally every 30 seconds to 1 minute, “Lobby has been disconected”. The proof it’s not my connection is when I hear 8 other voices coming from my tv all at once saying “are you kidding? After that wait?!”
Treyarch, instead of releasing all these crappy patches to make us think the game is better how about you take your time and actually try to really fix it
I had no problem with the online before patch 1.05, now I either disconect or a host migration fails 100% of the time.
Funily enough my connection was fine intill they did that very first patch a few months after the release to restrict all our nat types so they can save money them CHEAP SKATES!!!!. Grrrr they really do piss me off $1bil + sales but they cant keep up on there servers. I can just see them execs rolling around in money grrrr.
quit bitching about it my multiplayer works fine on ps3 but my ps3 is shit 5 times of having to send it in in a year ps3 blows anyway it goes and u get disconnected cause the shitty internet that the host of the lobby has its not your internet or connection u worry so much about not gettin in a game but quess wat the online play is free u cant expect much from the shit company of playstation ill go to xbox because ps3 sucks through and through

I have a my PS3 hard-wired on a 20meg fiber connection, and dont experience connection problems with any other game, and the issue is my set-up??
Since patch 1.05 the game freezes every few games when loading TDM, I have to power down the PS3 to resolve, with all the other issues of lag and lost connections this software isn’t fit for purpose and I would like a refund!!
I’m, still in shock just how poor the online experience is. Considering this was the highest anticipated game in years after the success of MW2, Treyarch appear to have rushed this for release. The game is full of bugs and to blame it on individual connections is just a joke. I have a fluid 20Mb fibre optic connection and I regularly get the ‘lost connection’ or ‘lobby closed’ messages. I do not know of one person who does not have this issue?!
Other real reasons not to buy this game include;
1. No option to mute all – why do Treyarch assume to listen to pre-pubescent kids spouting trash should be the default?
2. FAR too much air support – most games end up looking and sounding like Heathrow or JFK!
3. No Hardcore versions of all game-types meaning having to play basic versions of demolition for example to earn certain contracts which in turn means having to empty a full clip or two into someone to drop them!
I could go on and on but needless to say I am wholly disappointed as are all my friends who have now put this back in the cupboard. Well done Treyarch, seems that quality has now become something we can only wish for in the future – you have royally screwed this up!!

freezing quite often on the loading screen when it says “waiting for other players”. The software is buggy because it always happens at the same point when “waiting for other players”. Realy sick of this now… TREYARCH need to fix this.
was tryin to play again yesterday.constant disconnects. turned it off in the end.seeing as i got this game for online it isnt very clever.get it sorted.and for a comment further up,its not my setup,ports are configured and im nat type 2
