Young Boys travel to the Stade Louis II this Tuesday evening to take on Monaco in the second leg of their Champions League third round qualifying tie.

Monaco were odds-on favourites to come out on top in the first leg at the Stade de Suisse in Switzerland and although they left it late, 3 goals inside 15 minutes in the second half saw them come out 3:1 winners.

Young Boys drew 1:1 at the weekend in the Swiss Super League against St. Gallen and they will need a much better performance if they are to trouble Monaco.

Bookmakers make Monaco strong odds-on favourites to win the second leg.  They are available at 4/11, Young Boys are 7/1 while the draw is 15/4.

It’s difficult to be positive about Young Boys chances in this tie – they did manage to keep Monaco at bay in the home leg for 60 minutes before crumbling.  A similar performance will be respectable for them as it’s difficult to see them scoring 3 away goals and keeping Monaco to 1 goal or less to at least force extra-time.

Monaco have 3 away goals and the group stages of the Champions League in sight – They did have trouble breaking Young Boys down in the first leg however they will be much more free at home and we should expect more goals in the Stade Louis II.
