CSKA Moscow vs Manchester United Preview

CSKA were not considered as a team who could make it out of this group when the draws were made but their opening day away 2-1 win at Benfica has seen that changed and that victory will no doubt have boosted their morale ahead of Manchester United’s visit.

Since that win in Portugal however, they have been struggling – they won their next game at home to Rostov 2-0 but were then eliminated from the Russian Cup and drew their last game against Dynamo Moscow on Saturday.

Manchester United have been solid if not spectacular this season.

They lost their opening competitive fixture to Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup but since then they have been unplayable at times having won 7 of their last 8 game, scoring an incredible 24 goals while conceding just 3.

Romelu Lukaku has been in great form since he joined the Red Devils and has averaged a goal per game after failing to score in just one game since he moved from Everton in August.
