Espanyol vs Levante
Competition – Spanish Primera
Stadium – RCDE Stadium
Date: 13th October 2017
Kick-off time – 20:00 GMT
Although they started the season strongly, Levante have been awful recently and their fans will hope that they have recovered well from the international break to get their season going again while Espanyol have started to improve and they are always a strong side when they play at home.
Espanyol have begun the season well – they ended last season in the top half of the league table and despite a few players leaving them they still look good in this new season.
They did well enough competitively when they faced Real Madrid before the international break and have won their last two home games scoring at least 6 goals in total.
Gerrard Moreno scored 13 goals for them last season and has already scored 3 in his last 4 games this term.
He will lead here again and fans will expect a goal scoring performance from him.
No one can tell what happened to Levante before the international break – after winning the Segunda division last season, they started their return to the top flight well but they have since lost that momentum as well as form and come into this game off the back of two consecutive losses in which they failed to score.
They lost one game by 4 goals and the other to an Alaves side that had no wins before playing them.
They need to get back to winning ways as soon as possible or face the prospect of struggling with relegation early on.
