Chelsea vs AS Roma Preview

Chelsea won the Premier League last season thanks in part to the absence of European football.

This season has been different as they have realised but they have started the season well and could still make it far in the Champions League come May.

After an impressive win over Qarabag on match day one, they shocked everyone by recording an away victory in their next game at Atletico Madrid which helped them climb to the top of the group.

They lost their last match 2-1 in the Premier League against a Crystal Palace side that had previously not won or even scored a Premier League goal.

That won’t have done their confidence a world of good ahead of this game but we expect them to bounce back in this game.

Chelsea are still without N’Golo Kante and Alvaro Morata.

AS Roma come into this game off the back of a loss after they were beaten 0-1 at home by Napoli.

They ended the past few seasons in a Champions League spot but have yet to really make an impression in the competition over the years and they will be looking to at least get to the semi-final this season.

They have won 5 of their opening 6 games but playing away in London is a completely different task for them although they could benefit from the absence of both Alvaro Morata and Kante.
