Arsenal have the chance to either help fire or pile on the pressure on Ronald Koeman in this game even though they do not have the best away record in the Premier League this season.
Everton have been desperately out of form and Ronald Koeman’s reign is under serious threat after the investments that were made over the summer.
They lost their Europa League game on Thursday to Lyon and remain bottom of that group which has Cyproit minnows Appolon.
Koeman’s defence will say that it is still too early to fire him in the light of the major additions made to his squad over the summer, but no one will stand the Toffees being relegated from the Premier League so the earlier the results start improving, the better.
In their last two games, they lost at Burnley and needed a last gap penalty against Brighton to get a point.
These are two games their current squad should be winning and fans expected them to win both.
Everton have lost four of their last five matches against the Gunners.
Arsenal needed a super Olivier Giroud goal to win their last game in the Europa League on Thursday and that win helped them maintain a 100% record in that competition.
That has not been the case in the Premier League so far – they lost their last league game away to Watford following a late capitulation that should not be expected from a top team like them, while many would fancy them to get their first away win in this game.
The Gunners also have a tendency of throwing away wins and they could struggle in this game depending on what sort of Everton side show up.
