AS Monaco vs Bordeaux Preview

AS Monaco unexpectedly lost two points in their 3-3 draw with struggling Toulouse last weekend and that has dealt their chances of finishing second in the league table a major blow.

Prior to that, they were on a run of four consecutive wins that has made many believe that they have gotten back to their best.

They have been dumped out of the Champions League and they now have just the French Cup and league position to play for.

They have a 2 points cushion over 3^rd placed Marseille with 11 more league games to play – they also have a 7 points lead over Lyon and they will be looking to avoid another loss here.

Radamel Falcao has been missed but he should be fit for this game – he has 17 goals in 20 games so far.

Bordeaux have started to pick up some form despite starting the season badly.

They are currently 8^th in the league table despite having collected just 1 point from their last 2 games.

However, prior to those games, they won 4 on the trot which helped them into the top ten.

Malcom did not move in January and wants to help them into the top six at the end of this season and that is very much a possibility, but he will be missed in this game as he has been suspended.
