LA Galaxy are having one of their toughest seasons in the MLS.
Despite being the most successful franchise in the division they were so underwhelming last season that they finished very low on the overall league standings and there are fears this season could end the same way.
They signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic this season, yet they are still underperforming with their star-studded squad and what will disappoint their fans more is that there is a new team in town named LAFC who are outperforming their rivals despite this being their inaugural campaign.
The Galaxy are gradually getting on form as their win over San Jose Earthquakes was the first time they have won back to back games this season and as a matter of fact it is the first time they have recorded back to back wins since May last year.
Galaxy are seventh in the league table and face a tough month after two of their designated players, the Dos Santos brothers were called up by their national team for next month’s FIFA World Cup.
FC Dallas will be the first team to take advantage of that absence by trying to get a win here.
The 2016 MLS Shield winners have not had a much better season, but they have picked up some form recently and their 1-0 win over Toronto FC in their last game has helped them move up to fourth in the Western Conference league table.
Dallas have lost only one league game this season, drawing five and their determination to not be beaten could see them get something from this game.
