No one expected them to top their group ahead of Germany, but the North Americans come into this game needing just a draw to end as group leaders.

They beat Germany 1-0 in their first game before edging South Korea 2-1 in a much more improved performance in their next game.

The beauty of their play is in their organized defending and swift counter-attacking.

Sweden were on course to qualify for the next round when they beat South Korea in their first game and found themselves leading Germany by a lone goal in their second game.

However, they sat too deep in the second half of that match and this allowed the Germans take the game to them and eventually a ten man Germany won with a last minute Toni Kroos free kick.
