Leicester City vs Manchester City Preview

Leicester City vs Manchester City

Competition – Carabao Cup

Stadium – King Power Stadium

Date: 18th December 2018

Kick-off time – 19:45 GMT

Manchester City will be heading to Leicester City for the quarter final of the Carabao Cup here as they look to build some consistency after losing their spot at the top of the league with a defeat at Chelsea.

The Cityzens won their last two games against Hoffenheim and Everton, but they were been beaten by Chelsea and drew 2-2 with Olympique Lyon prior to those games.

Leicester City will be looking to shock City when they take to the field in this game.

The Foxes have endured a rough patch recently and they will be desperate to give their fans something to cheer about.

Leicester were on a seven games unbeaten run before facing Tottenham two matches ago, but the Lilywhites ended that run with a 2-0 win.

Leicester were also beaten 1-0 at Crystal Palace over the weekend so they need to improve drastically for Manchester City.

Claude Puel needs a result in this game to give him some breathing space as he could see his job on the line if their fortune doesn’t change soon.

The Foxes have proved to be a difficult side to beat when they play at home, but their strong defence may not be strong enough to stop this rampaging Manchester City side that could have Sergio Aguero and Kevin de Bruyne in their starting lineup.

Bookmakers have priced Manchester City up as very short favourites to get the job done at the King Power Stadium.

This game gets underway at 19:45 and can be viewed on Sky Sports in the UK./ IRE.
