Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur

Competition – Carabao Cup

Stadium – Emirates Stadium

Date: 19th December 2018

Kick-off time – 19:45 GMT

Arsenal have had a good season so far under Unai Emery despite the Spaniard inheriting a squad that was low on confidence.

He started his reign poorly but quickly turned things around and even led the Gunners to a solid run of 22 games unbeaten in all competitions despite facing Liverpool and Tottenham among other teams.

That run eventually ended at the weekend when they were beaten 3-2 by Southampton.

They will be looking to get back to winning ways immediately when they face Spurs here, but they know it will be a tough game for them.

Tottenham have already been beaten by the Gunners this season and Mauricio Pochettino would expect his players to show some character by eliminating the Gunners in front of their fans.

Since the Argentine came to north London 4 years ago, he has established Spurs as a top English side by consistently qualifying for the Champions League and also reaching the latter stages of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

Winning a trophy would be a nice cherry on the cake and this game presents them with another chance of ending their trophy drought.

The Gunners have won their last two home games against Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

This is an extremely competitive betting market as Arsenal are slight favourites at present however the odds are extremely close and a rush of cash could see Spurs go off as favourites.

Goal markets point to a lively game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Harry Kane are favourites to score the first goal.
