Manchester City vs Arsenal Preview

Manchester City vs Arsenal

Competition – Barclays Premier League

Stadium – Etihad Stadium

Date: 3rd February 2019

Kick-off time – 16:30 GMT

Manchester City and Arsenal enjoyed different result in the midweek games as shocking results swept across Europe from Italy to the English Premier League.

Pep Guardiola’s side were surprisingly beaten 2-1 by Newcastle despite having taken the lead in under a minute.

The Cityzens were the best side no doubt, but they struggled to break down a Newcastle side who played with 5 defenders.

City will now be looking to get back to winning ways here after Liverpool failed to extend their lead by more than 5 points.

Arsenal were only one of just two top six sides who won in midweek and Unai Emery will be hoping his players can further dent Manchester City’s title hopes.

The Gunners secured a 2-1 win over Cardiff City to move into the top four after Chelsea were humbled by Bournemouth.

Unai Emery’s side has struggled against the Top six teams this season, but they could draw some confidence from their 2-0 win over Chelsea a couple of weeks back.

The Gunners however, haven’t won an away game against any top six side and come into this game having lost all 4 of their last 4 games against Manchester City, conceding 11 goals and scoring just once.

Bookmakers have priced Manchester City as strong odds-on favourites to come out on top in this game.

Goal markets sense a goal-feast as over 3.5 goals is currently trading odds-on.

Sergio Aguero is favourite with bookies to score the opening goal of the game.

This game gets underway at 16:30 BST.
