Napoli vs Juventus Preview

Napoli vs Juventus

Competition – Serie A

Stadium – Stadio San Paolo

Date: 3rd March 2019

Kick-off time – 19:30 GMT

This is the biggest game in the Italian league this weekend and these sides will be looking to get the win and keep the Serie A title either open or closed.

Napoli have been the team that has consistently challenged Juventus for the Scudetto in the past couple of seasons.

This season, however, they have fallen short and losing this game would effectively take their destiny out of their own hands.

Napoli are unbeaten in their last 6 matches and 4 of those games have ended in wins for them.

There are 12 points separating them from the top of the league table before this game and a defeat effectively ends the title race.

Juventus are set to win yet another league title even though success in Europe hasn’t been forthcoming at the moment.

They have opened a large points gap on the league table, but there have been times that they have struggled to outclass opponents.

The signing of Cristiano Ronaldo and the likes of Emre Can was expected to propel them into new levels of dominance, but they come into this game on the verge of exiting the Champions League and also having been eliminated from the Coppa Italia so they will be going all out to ensure that they win this title.

Bookies have priced Napoli up as slight favourites to come out on top in this match while goal markets point to a tight affair as under 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on.

Cristiano Ronaldo is favourite with oddsmakers to score the opening goal of the game.
