Barcelona will be heading into this Catalan derby hoping to continue their impressive winning streak that has seen them win their last three games on the bounce.
They have beaten Rayo Vallecano, Real Betis, and Lyon in that period of time but one thing remains constant, and that is the fact that they have conceded a goal in all of those matches.
As a matter of fact, Barcelona have kept one clean sheet in their last five games which should be a concern for their fans.
Barcelona are gunning for the treble and they would be keen to keep the gap between them and their rivals intact as they head into the final weeks of the season and they should expect a tough game here despire Espanyol’s struggles.
Espanyol on the other hand have been struggling for form for much of this season.
They come here 9 points behind the top six and would be keen to put a winning streak together ahead of the final round of games.
They have also won just two of their last 11 games and have seen themselves crash out of the Copa del Rey in that period of time.
With just the league to play for now, their fans would be expecting a performance from them in this game.
Bookmakers have priced Barcelona up as extremely short priced favourites to come out on top in this game while Espanyol seemingly need a miracle according to oddsmakers.
Goal markets point to an extremely high-scoring game as over 3.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Lionel Messi is clear favourite to open the scoring.
