Fulham vs Manchester City
Competition – Barclays Premier League
Stadium – Craven Cottage
Date: 30th March 2019
Kick-off time – 12:30 GMT
Manchester City will be looking to return to the top of the Premier League table before Liverpool take on Spurs at the weekend.
With a good chance that Liverpool might drop points against the Lillywhites, the Cityzens will be keen to win with as many goals as they can in this game.
Manchester City should count themselves lucky to still be this close to the top of the league table. They have lost 4 league games this season, yet they could go top by a point if they win and this is mainly because Liverpool failed to take advantage of them losing games and they will not want to lose another match.
City still have to play Tottenham and Manchester United so they can’t afford not to win games against struggling sides.
Fulham moved from the most exciting team that was promoted to relegation candidates in the space of a few months.
Having beaten Aston Villa in the Playoffs final and spending over 100 million pounds in the last transfer window, fans expected the Cottagers to do exactly what Wolves are doing at the moment.
However, they come into this game with relegation staring them in the face. They are currently 19th in the league table, 13 points adrift of safety and they have to win all of their remaining matches to stand a chance of surviving.
Unsurprisingly, bookmakers have priced Man City up as if defeat is out of the question. It’s difficult to make a case of Fulham and they will start this game as massive underdogs to do the impossible.
Goal markets are expecting a lively game as over 3.5 goals is trading odds-on at present while Sergio Aguero is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
