Real Betis vs Villarreal Preview

Real Betis vs Villarreal

Competition – Spanish Primera

Stadium – Benito Villamarín

Date: 7th April 2019

Kick-off time – 19:45 GMT

Real Betis will be looking to recover from their recent run of poor form against this struggling Villarreal side, but the visitors would feel that they have a lot at stake after they failed to get a win against Barcelona last time out.

Betis come here 10th in the league table having won just eleven of their league games and suffering defeats on 12 occasions.  They come here safe from relegation troubles, but they can win a place in Europe as only 6 points separates them from the top six.

Villarreal are making a last ditch attempt to survive relegation this season having spent much of it flirting with the drop.

They almost nicked a win against Barcelona in their last league game having led 4-2 at some point, however, two goals in added time from Messi and Suarez helped the league leaders to a draw.

Villarreal will feel that they have to win all of their games from here on out to beat the drop and this game is no exception.

The visitors are currently 17th in the league table, but a win here would take them to 15th pending the results of other games.

Bookmakers have priced Real Betis up as slight favourites to come out on top in this game while Villarreal will start the game as outsiders.

Goal markets point to a high-scoring game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Carlos Bacca and Giovani Lo Celso are joint favourites to score the opening goal of the game.

This game gets underway at 19:45 BST.
