Everton vs Arsenal Preview

Arsenal will be looking to preserve their status as a top four club when they face an Everton side that is also looking to end the season in a European place after some huge summer spending.

The Toffees are currently 10^th in the league table, but a win here could take them to 9^th ahead of Watford albeit having played a game more.

Everton’s recent form has been inconsistent but they seem to be building on something good towards the end of the season.

They have won 3 of their last 5 league games including a 2-0 win over Chelsea the last time they played at home.

Arsenal have made the Emirates stadium a fortress in recent games and that has helped them enter inside the top four.

A win here would take them back to 3^rd, but their away form hasn’t been as healthy as their home form.

The last time they won an away game was a 2-1 win over Huddersfield on the 9^th of February so Everton shouldn’t be too afraid of them in this game.

They face Napoli later in the week in the Europa League, so Unai Emery may be forced to make some changes for this match and that would give Everton more reason to go for the win.

Bookmakers have priced Arsenal up as slight favourites to come out on top in this game however the odds are extremely close and Everton are in with a real chance according to oddsmakers.

Goal markets point to a high-scoring game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
