Barcelona vs Real Sociedad Preview

Barcelona vs Real Sociedad

Competition – Spanish Primera

Stadium – Estadio Camp Nou

Date: 20th April 2019

Kick-off time – 19:45 GMT

Barcelona will be looking to take another step towards retaining their La Liga title when they welcome Real Sociedad for this game.

The home side just came off the back of winning their Champions League quarterfinal game 3-0 against Manchester United and they will be looking to get another win here.

With 6 games to go, the Catalans have a 9 points lead at the top of the league table.  Their points haul has been helped by a recent run of form that has seen them remain unbeaten in their last 20 league games.

They have, however, struggled against some smaller teams recently having won just one of their last three league games, dropping points against Villarreal and Huesca.

Real Sociedad will be looking for their first win in 3 games when they take on Barcelona in this game.

They are currently 10th in the league table, but they would feel that they can finish the season higher up the league table and earning just a point here would give them confidence to go for the win in their remaining games.

The visitors have had an inconsistent time in the league this season and come into this game having won just one of their last 8 games and that isn’t the kind of form you need to beat Barcelona these days.

Bookies have priced Barcelona up as extremely short-priced favourites to come out on top in this game while Real Sociedad will start the game as underdogs.

Goal markets point to an exciting game as over 3.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Lionel Messi is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.

This game gets underway at 19:45 BST.
