Liverpool vs Huddersfield Preview

Liverpool face already relegated Huddersfield in what should be their easiest game of the run in when they take to the field for this game.

The Reds have picked up form at just the right moment but their failure to beat the likes of Leicester City and West Ham earlier in the season has forced them to be playing catch up and hoping that Manchester City drops points so they can win the league.

The Reds are currently top of the league table by two points, but they have played a game more than Manchester City so they need City to drop points in what is a tougher run-in for the Cityzens.

Huddersfield have already been relegated from the Premier League and are only playing their remaining games for the sake of pride.

The visitors have managed just 3 wins all season and come here having scored 20 league goals and conceded 69 so they don’t particularly have what Liverpool should be afraid of.

Huddersfield have been on a dreadful run of form that has seen them lose 12 of their last 13 league games.  Their only win in period was a shocking 1-0 win over Wolves in February but we don’t expect them to get that much luck in this game.

Liverpool play Barcelona on Wednesday and Jurgen Klopp may be forced to rest some of his key players in this game.

Bookmakers have priced Liverpool up as if defeat is out of the question while Huddersfield’s odds suggest they will need an easter-week miracle to pull off the impossible.

Goal markets point to an exciting feast of goals as over 3.5 goals is currently trading strongly odds-on while Mohamed Salah is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
