Barcelona vs Liverpool

Competition – Champions League

Stadium – Estadio Camp Nou

Date: 1st May 2019

Kick-off time – 20:00 GMT

Liverpool will be looking to get into their second consecutive Champions League final when they take on Barcelona in this game.

The Reds are having a solid season but there is a risk of them not winning anything at the end of the day.

They are currently battling for the Premier League crown alongside Manchester City and will only lose the title by one point if they win their remaining games and Manchester City does likewise.

Their Champions League form has also been impressive.  After losing all of their away games in the group stages, the Reds have won their last three games in the knockout stages including away games at Bayern Munich and FC Porto.

Barcelona failed to reach the semifinals in the past 3 seasons and they now want to take it a step further and win the treble like they did in 2015.

They should wrap up the La Liga title by this weekend and shift their focus to this game.

Barca have won five of their last six matches in all competitions and only Huesca has stopped them from winning recently.

Liverpool have won 10 of their last 11 games in all competitions and have conceded just one goal in their last four games.

Bookmakers have priced Barcelona up as slight odds-on favourites to come out on top in this game while giving maximum respect to Liverpool.

Goal markets point to an exciting first leg as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Lionel Messi is favourite to score the opening goal of the game followed by Luis Suarez and Kevin-Prince Boateng.
