RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich
Competition – DFB Pokal Final
Stadium – Olympiastadion
Date: 25th May 2019
Kick-off time – 19:00 GMT
Bayern Munich will be looking to earn the German double when they take on this impressive Leipzig side who have had a good season to say the least.
The Bavarians wrapped up the league title with a 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend after they were pursued for much of the season by Borussia Dortmund.
This game will also be Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben’s last for the Bavarians and they will be looking to earn their 6th and 5th German Cups respectively.
This would be a 4th League and Cup Double for Bayern in the last 7 years should they lift it, but Liepzig will be looking to spoil that.
The much-hated German side has continued to thrive under the sponsorship of Red Bull and they will be looking to end an outstanding season by pipping Bayern to the DFB Pokal here.
Lepipzig ended the season 3rd in the German league table to secure another Champions League spot, their 2nd in the last 3 seasons.
Julian Nagelsmann will be their manager next season who struggled to return Hoffenheim to the Champions League at the end of this current campaign. Fans of Liepzig can only hope for the best when he takes over the reins.
Bookmakers have priced Bayern Munich up as strong odds-on favourites to come out on top in this game while RB Leipzig will start the game as underdogs.
Goal markets point to a lively cup final as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Robert Lewandowski is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
