Barcelona vs Valencia
Competition – Copa del Rey
Stadium – Benito Villamarín
Date: 25th May 2019
Kick-off time – 20:00 GMT
Barcelona will be looking to console themselves by winning the double after a miraculous comeback by Liverpool stopped them from reaching the Champions League final and attempting to win the treble.
They have wrapped up yet another league trophy by 11 points and are set to become the first team to win the Copa del Rey for 5 consecutive seasons since the competition began.
They may have reached the final in fine fashion but they have almost always found Valencia to be a tough side to beat.
Barcelona couldn’t beat Los Che in either of their league encounters this season and the three times that these sides have met in this competition’s, Barcelona have managed to win twice with extra time needed on both occasions.
Valencia have been outstanding this season and only suffered a slight dip in form at the beginning and towards the end of the season, yet they recovered well to take the 4th and last Champions League position in the league table.
They are a relentless unit that can give everything to get what they want and we expect them to give Barca a run for their money in this game.
Bookmakers have priced Barcelona up as strong odds-on favourites to lift the Copa del Rey for a 5th consecutive season.
Goal markets point to an exciting final as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Lionel Messi is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
