France vs Bolivia Preview

France vs Bolivia

Competition – International Friendly

Stadium – La Beaujoire-Louis-Fonteneau

Date: 2nd June 2019

Kick-off time – 20:00 GMT

France will be looking to get some mileage on their legs and prepare themselves for a more important task of qualifying for the Euros next year.

The World Cup defending champions somehow didn’t qualify for the playoffs of the Euro Nations League and they now have to qualify as one of the best two teams in their Euro Qualifying group.

They come here in fine form having lost just once in their last 19 games.  However, they have to avoid being complacent in their qualifiers as they face 4 teams who played in the last Euros in their group.

Bolivia don’t represent the toughest of opposition for France and not everyone would agree that Les Bleus can learn something from the South Americans.

The visitors haven’t scored in 4 of their last 5 matches and boast of a single win from their last 15 games.

The Bolivians are hoping to make a good impression at the Copa America which starts in a few weeks time.  They open their campaign with a game against Brazil and they will hope that France can teach them a thing or two about what to expect from a top level opponent.

France play Turkey away from home in a weeks time in a Euro 2020 qualifier which is much more important than this friendly game.

Bookmakers have priced France up as extremely strong favourites to come out on top in this game while Bolivia have a mountain to climb according to oddsmakers.

Goal markets point to a high scoring friendly as over 2.5 goals is currently trading long odds-on while Ferland Mendy and Wissam Ben Yedder head the first goalscorer market ahead of Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe which may surprise some.

This game gets underway at 20:00 BST.
