Colombia vs Qatar Preview

Colombia will be looking to build on their impressive start at the Copa America after they defeated Argentina 2-0 in the first game as they look to win this competition.

This Colombian team has some of the best players in Europe.  The centre back pairing of Davinson Sanchez and Yerry Mina with Wilmar Barrios in midfield coupled with the likes of James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao up front,  this team can go all the way and they should win this game and pick up qualification to the next round.

The Colombians have now won 6 of their last seven games.  They have what it takes to get all three points here, but Qatar showed in their last game that they shouldn’t be underrated.

Qatar are making their debut in this competition after they were given a special invitation.  They have been underdogs in World football for most of their existence but their stunning Asian Cup win has certainly made them a team to watch and they didn’t disappoint in their opening game.

The Qataris were 2-0 down and most expected Paraguay to wrap up the win, but the Asians rallied in the second half and drew the game 2-2.  They will now be hoping to cause yet another upset against one of the tournament favourites here.

Bookmakers have priced Colombia up as strong odds-on favourites to come out on top in this game while Qatar will start the game as underdogs yet again.

Goal markets point to a lively game as over 2.5 goals is currently trading odds-on while Radamel Falcao and Duvan Zapata are vying for favourtism in the first goalscorer market.
