Argentina will be looking to banish the ghost of their first game in their second Copa America match when they take on Paraguay at the Estadio Mineirão.
Lionel Messi came back into the national team for this competition hoping to finally win a tournament on an international level but that wasn’t the start he expected or hoped for.
The Argentines were bullied for much of their first group game by a determined Colombian side and ended losing that game 2:0.
Messi was largely ineffective in that game and the same could be said about his fellow professional stars and they have it all to do now.
Paraguay were supposed to win their first game after being drawn against debutants Qatar. They made a good start but faltered in the second half to share the points (2:2).
They now have to get something from this game and their situation would be made even worse if they lose here.
The Paraguayans have not been easy for Argentina to beat in recent times and come here having lost just one of their last four matches against them so expect them to fight for an upset here.
Bookmakers have priced Argentina up as strong odds-on favourites to come out on top in this game and move one step closer to the next round.
Goal markets are undecided at present as over 2.5 goals is currently trading dead even while Lionel Messi is clear favourite to score the opening goal of the game.
