Barcelona vs Internazionale Preview

Barcelona and Inter will meet in this game as both sides look to get their first win of the Champions League season and get an edge over the other in the race to top this group.

Barcelona haven’t been at their best so far this season and while it is still too early to panic, the Catalans may just be on the verge of having one of their worst seasons in recent times.

They used much of the summer pursuing a deal for Neymar but never succeeded yet they flogged Philippe Coutinho to Bayern Munich.  They have had to rely on teenagers Ansu Fati and Carla Perez as Lionel Messi continues to struggle for fitness.

The home side are currently 4th in the La Liga table following a 0-2 win over Getafe at the weekend.  A win here would bring some more positivity to the Camp Nou, but another bad result could see their fans turn against them.

Inter Milan are flying high in Serie A as Antonio Conte looks to win a Scudetto for them in his first season back in Italy.

They are currently top of the league table after 6 games and have maintained their 100 percent record until now.  Conte’s men haven’t always been dominant but they have managed to get the job done with a solid defence and a good enough attack led by Romelu Lukaku.

This will arguably be their toughest test this season and their fans would hope that they don’t struggle like they did in their first Champions League game of the season.
