Real Madrid vs Granada Preview

Real Madrid vs Granada

Competition – Spanish Primera

Stadium – Santiago Bernabéu

Date: 5th October 2019

Kick-off time – 15:00 GMT

Real Madrid will be looking to build on their recent fine run of form in La Liga as they welcome the surprise package of the season in Granada for this league game.

Los Blancos didn’t make the best start to their league season but just when pressure was starting to mount on Zinedine Zidane, they turned their form around and enter this 8th round of league games top of the league table and unbeaten so far.

They haven’t had the best of seasons in the Champions League and come here off the back of a poor 2-2 draw at home against Club Brugge.  They need a win in this game to lift the mood, but that could be tough against this fearless Granada side.

Granada’s return to the top flight of Spanish football has been a good one as their early season form has been impressive.

The visitors are currently 2nd in the league table after seven games.  They beat Leganes 1-0 in their last league game but they haven’t played just smaller opponents as they beat Barcelona 2-0 in matchday 5.

Granada hasn’t been scoring the highest number of goals, but they have an impressive defencive record.

They have kept a clean sheet in 4 of their 7 league games so far.  They have also won two, drew two and lost none of their 4 away games in the league this season.
