Barcelona vs Sevilla FC Preview

Barcelona vs Sevilla FC

Competition – Spanish Primera

Stadium – Camp Nou

Date: 6th October 2019

Kick-off time – 20:00 GMT

Barcelona will be looking to build on their 3 games winning streak when they take on an equally impressive Sevilla side at the Nou Camp in this game.

The Blaugrana haven’t started the season in the best fashion after signing the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong, but their season seems to be finally coming together and the return to full fitness of Lionel Messi should be an added boost.

La Liga’s defending champions are currently 4th in the league table after seven matches played, just two points separate them from Real Madrid whos are top of the pile.

Blaguranas know that they can go top of the league if Real and Atleti slip up in their fixtures, but Sevilla won’t be an easy nut to crack for them.

Julen Lopetegui’s side has been impressive at the start of the season.  The visitors are currently 6th in the league table but have the same number of points as Barcelona.

After losing back to back games against Real Madrid and Eibar, Sevilla is back on a winning run after securing victories dominantly against Real Sociedad and then Apoel Nicosia in the Europa League.

This fixture has always been a high scoring one as the last two renewals have seen at least 6 goals scored and over 2.5 goals scored in 4 of the last 5 renewals.
